Weekly Schedule

Sundays

8:30 am        Early Service (Sanctuary)

9:40 am        FUEL (Youth Room)

Junior High and High School Students meet in the Youth Room every Sunday for FUEL. Each week at
FUEL students will experience a high energy, fun environment with games, videos, singing, and
teaching that is designed specifically for teenagers. FUEL is for students who have grown up in
church, but also for those who are just checking out what goes on at church. It’s a great time for
teenagers to get to know other students and adults involved in our student ministry.

Being a teenager can be tough sometimes. On a daily basis teens are faced with choices that
impact the rest of their lives all the while trying to discover who they are and where they fit in.
At First Baptist Church we want to crate an environment where students can feel connected,
cared for, and challenged to find their identity in Christ. Our ministry is one that strives to fulfill
the mission of the church by providing teenagers with opportunities for fellowship, discipleship,
ministry, worship, and evangelism. We invite any student in the 7th through 12th grade to join
the Student Ministry at First Baptist Church!

The Purpose of the Student Ministry

The Student Ministry at First Baptist Church exists to reach non-believing students with the message of
Christ, to
connect them with Christian teens, to help them grow in their knowledge of who God is so that
they will learn to
honor Him with their lives and find a place of service in His kingdom.

  • We reach non-believing students through friendship evangelism and non-threatening outreach events held throughout the year.

  • We provide a place to honor God at FUEL on Sunday Mornings at 9:40. FUEL is a time where all students meet together for
games, dramas, singing, and teaching. We also teach that worship is a lifestyle and choice we make daily.

  • We connect students through our Small Groups which meet on Wednesday evenings. A small group is a place where the
bigness of church can be diminished and students are given the opportunity to connect with other students and adults on a
deeper level. We also connect students by providing times of fellowship and fun.

  • We help students grow in their knowledge of God through Small Groups and by encouraging our teens to develop HABITS that
cultivate spiritual growth … on their own.

  • We provide opportunities for students to serve God by serving others through work in soup kitchens, food banks, and other
places where there is need. We also teach the importance of missions by going on a mission trip each summer.
